H.R. 3158 — Help Hoover Dam Act

This section authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to expend non-reimbursable moneys in the Boulder Canyon Project fund—including those in account XXXR5656P1 that were or hereafter are recovered—for any authorized activity (e.g., operations, maintenance, investigations, cleanup actions, and capital improvements) within the Boulder Canyon Project at Hoover Dam or on land used for its construction and operation, in consultation with Boulder Canyon Project contractors as identified in the Hoover Power Allocation Act of 2011 (P.L. 112-72). (As background, the Boulder Canyon Project Act authorizes Hoover Dam for Colorado River flood control, navigation, water storage and delivery for reclamation, and power generation to ensure the project's financial self-sufficiency.)
