H.R. 3232 — Federal-State Partnership for Intercity Passenger Rail Reauthorization Act

This section revises the authorization of appropriations for Federal-State partnership for intercity passenger rail grants—also known as the Corridor Identification and Development Program (i.e., competitive grants to states and Amtrak for planning, development, and construction of intercity passenger rail corridors)—to $7.5 billion for each of fiscal years 2027 through 2031 (from $500 million for FY2022, $750 million for FY2023, $1 billion for FY2024, $1.125 billion for FY2025, and $1.25 billion for FY2026), to remain available until expended. The section authorizes the Secretary to use up to 2% of appropriated amounts in a fiscal year for project management oversight of any grant program under this title authorized for such fiscal year.
