H.R. 3256 — Lieutenant General Carey Runway Act of 2025

This section states congressional findings on the military service, commands, combat experience, awards, and education of Lieutenant General Richard E. Carey, who retired from the Marine Corps on March 1, 1983.

This section designates Runway 5L/23R at Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, North Carolina, as the “Lieutenant General Carey Runway” upon enactment and deems any prior reference to that runway in federal law, regulations, maps, documents, records, or other papers as a reference to the “Lieutenant General Carey Runway.”
