H.R. 3322 — Solid American Hardwood Tax Credit Act

This section expands the energy efficient home improvement credit to include natural carbon sink expenditures paid or incurred by the taxpayer for qualified installations on the taxpayer's principal residence and extends the credit through 2035 (from 2032). Natural carbon sink expenditures are costs for flooring, paneling, millwork, cabinetry doors, cabinetry facing, windows, or skylights comprised of deciduous trees grown and processed in the United States, where original use commences with the taxpayer and the item is expected to remain in use for at least five years. The amendments apply to property placed in service after the date of enactment.
