H.R. 3358 — Harvest to Hue Act

This section declares congressional findings on the contributions of U.S. farmers to the nation's food supply, the importance of science-based and risk-based processes for public health and consumer trust, proactive efforts to meet consumer preferences for safe and affordable foods, and the potential role of U.S. agriculture in producing natural food color additives to broaden markets and ensure food resource integrity.

This section directs the Secretary of Agriculture to (1) facilitate departmental efforts to enhance U.S. farmers' capacity to grow, produce, and harvest agricultural goods for use as natural color additives in the food supply; (2) promote collaboration among the Department of Agriculture, other federal agencies, agricultural producers, and food industry partners to support production of natural color additives from agricultural components; and (3) focus existing research initiatives on supporting U.S. agriculture's contribution to natural color additive resources.
