H.R. 3422 — Promoting Opportunities for Non-Traditional Capital Formation Act

This section directs the SEC's Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation—currently tasked with assisting small businesses in complying with federal securities laws and regulations related to capital formation—to (1) provide educational resources and host or participate in events for small businesses and small business investors, including to raise awareness of capital raising options for underrepresented small businesses (i.e., women-owned and minority-owned), businesses in rural areas, and small businesses affected by hurricanes or other natural disasters; and (2) meet at least annually with representatives of state securities commissions to discuss collaboration and coordination in assisting small businesses and investors.
