H.R. 3500 — More Funding for COPS Act

This section reauthorizes the COPS ON THE BEAT grant program (i.e., Community Oriented Policing Services grants under subchapter XVI of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968) at $1,163,032,000 for each of FY2026 through 2030 (from $1,047,119,000 for FY2006 through 2009). (The program provides grants to state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies to hire and train community police officers.)
