H.R. 3507 — Legislative Accountability Act

This section requires chairs of House and Senate committees reporting a bill or joint resolution to submit, within three legislative days, the names of Members of Congress who submitted amendments adopted by the committee; requires chairs of the House Committee on Rules or Senate Committee on Rules and Administration to submit names of Members whose amendments were adopted on the floor of either House; and requires chairs of the House or Senate Committees on Appropriations, House Committee on Ways and Means, or Senate Committee on Finance to submit names of Members responsible for provisions included in such reported bills or resolutions. The Clerk of the House, Secretary of the Senate, and Director of the Government Publishing Office must include these names as footnotes in reported, engrossed, enrolled, or enacted versions of the bill or resolution indicating the relevant amendment or provision. The section is enacted as an exercise of each House's rulemaking power.
