H.R. 3541 — See the Board Act

This section directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to establish a grant program, not later than 180 days after enactment, under which the Secretary awards grants to nonprofit organizations that operate qualifying eye care services programs (i.e., mobile clinics providing free screenings, exams, and glasses using portable equipment and qualified providers such as optometrists and opticians) to purchase equipment and cover operational costs for students in public elementary schools or secondary schools. It expresses the sense of Congress that grantees prioritize educating students and parents on recommended vision screenings and exams and authorizes appropriations of such sums as necessary for FY2026 through FY2031.
