H.R. 3557 — To amend the Small Business Act to waive the accrual of interest and payments for certain disaster loans for a year, and for other purposes.

This section establishes, for Small Business Administration (SBA) disaster loans made under section 7(b) of the Small Business Act for disasters declared on or after the date of enactment, a zero percent interest rate and deferral of principal payments for the 12-month period beginning on the date of loan disbursement. (SBA section 7(b) disaster loans provide financial assistance to businesses, homeowners, and renters for physical damage or economic injury from presidentially declared disasters.)
