H.R. 3595 — Safe Prescribing Through Reporting Act of 2025

This section authorizes disclosure of substance use disorder patient records to a state's prescription drug monitoring program (PDMP) if the record relates to prescribing or dispensing a substance use disorder medication (e.g., methadone or buprenorphine) and such disclosure is required by applicable state law. (PDMPs track controlled substance prescriptions to help prevent misuse, diversion, and overdoses.)
