H.R. 3627 — Justice for America’s Veterans and Survivors Act of 2025

This section establishes an annual reporting requirement under new 38 U.S.C. §534 for the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to submit to the congressional Committees on Veterans’ Affairs a report on causes of death among veterans. The report must include, for each veteran who died during the reporting period, (1) whether the veteran had a service-connected disability rated as total, (2) the primary cause of death, (3) the secondary cause of death if applicable, (4) whether the veteran died by suicide secondary to a service-connected disability rated as total, and (5) for each primary cause of death, the total number of veterans who died from that cause.
