H.R. 3774 — HUD Accountability Act of 2025

This section requires the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to appear before the House Committee on Financial Services and the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs at an annual hearing to present testimony on the department's operations during the preceding year, covering (1) current programs and operations; (2) the physical condition of public housing and other department-assisted housing; (3) the financial health of Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage insurance funds; (4) oversight of grantees and sub-grantees to prevent waste, fraud, and abuse; (5) federal progress in addressing affordable housing and homelessness crises; (6) the department's capacity to fulfill its statutory mission; and (7) other ongoing activities, as appropriate.
