H.R. 3830 — American Patriots of WWII through Service with the Canadian and British Armed Forces Gold Medal Act of 2025

This section states congressional findings recognizing the contributions, sacrifices, and valor of Americans who volunteered for the Canadian and British armed forces, Royal Canadian Air Force, Royal Air Force, Eagle Squadrons, and associated organizations (e.g., Canadian Aviation Bureau, Air Transport Auxiliary) prior to and during World War II.

This section authorizes the award, on behalf of Congress, of a single gold medal of appropriate design to all United States nationals who voluntarily joined the Canadian and British Armed Forces and their supporting entities during World War II, in recognition of their dedicated service. The Secretary of the Treasury must strike the medal; following the award ceremony, it is given to the Smithsonian Institution for display and research (with a sense of Congress that it also be displayed elsewhere); and the Secretary may strike and sell bronze duplicate medals at cost.

This section classifies all medals struck under this Act as (1) national medals for purposes of chapter 51 of title 31, United States Code (i.e., medals authorized for production and sale by the United States Mint); and (2) numismatic items for purposes of the Numismatic Public Enterprise Fund (31 U.S.C. §5134). (Thus, receipts from their sale will be deposited in the revolving Fund, which finances Mint numismatic operations—including production, marketing, and sales of coins and medals—without fiscal year limitation.)
