H.R. 3870 — COAL POWER Act

This section repeals the Environmental Protection Agency's final rule titled “National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants: Coal- and Oil-Fired Electric Utility Steam Generating Units Review of the Residual Risk and Technology Review” (89 Fed. Reg. 38508, May 7, 2024). (As background, the rule revises Clean Air Act standards for hazardous air pollutants such as mercury, nickel, and arsenic from coal- and oil-fired power plants. Thus, the revised standards have no force or effect.)
