This section expands the boundaries of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area to include the Rim of the Valley Unit Proposed Addition, as generally depicted on the map entitled “Proposed Addition—Rim of the Valley Unit Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area”, numbered 638/179670x and dated April 14, 2023, in addition to the lands and waters generally depicted on the existing boundary map numbered 80,047–C and dated August 2001. The section specifies that the maps are available for public inspection in National Park Service offices and authorizes the Secretary to make minor boundary revisions after written notice to the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate and the Committee on Natural Resources of the House of Representatives (previously the Committee on Resources of the House of Representatives), with publication in the Federal Register.
