H.R. 3885 — Community TEAMS Act of 2025

This section establishes a new grant program under the rural health care services outreach, rural health network development, and small health care provider quality improvement programs (administered by the Director of the Office of Rural Health Policy) to expand community-based training for medical students in rural areas and medically underserved communities. The Director may award grants for one to five years to consortia of one or more osteopathic or allopathic medical schools and one or more rural health clinics, Federally qualified health centers, or health care facilities in medically underserved communities to support medical student clinical rotations, including in outpatient settings, to facilitate long-term physician practice in such areas. (Thus, applicants must describe the project, federal need, quality improvement, increased access to care, sustainability plan, and evaluation.) The section makes conforming changes to the purpose statement in subsection (a) and grant references in subsections (d)(2) and (j) (as redesignated) to include these grants.
