H.R. 391 — Extend the TikTok Deadline Act

This section extends the deadline for executing a qualified divestiture of a covered company (i.e., TikTok, if controlled by an entity in China, Russia, Iran, or North Korea) under the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act to 540 days after enactment (from 270 days). (Thus, absent such divestiture, prohibitions on distributing or maintaining the application or its updates through U.S. app stores or web hosting services would apply after that extended deadline.)
