No CRS summary available for this bill.
This section directs the Secretary of Agriculture, acting through the Chief of the Forest Service, to convey approximately 1,475 acres of National Forest System land in the San Bernardino National Forest (as depicted on specified Federal Land Maps) to the Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation in exchange for approximately 1,460 acres of land owned by the Nation (as depicted on specified Non-Federal Land Maps), as soon as practicable within 120 days of receiving the Nation's offer. The exchange is subject to (1) surveys to determine exact acreage and legal descriptions (with survey costs for non-federal land borne by the Nation); (2) mutual agreement on minor boundary adjustments or corrections to maps, acreage estimates, or descriptions (with maps controlling in conflicts and available for public inspection); (3) reservation by the United States of an easement for Forest Service roads 1N22, 1N24, and 1N25; and (4) the Nation's entry into an agreement, within 120 days of enactment, to preserve the Arrowhead Landmark site (to be recorded in county and Forest Service records). Land acquired by the United States becomes part of the San Bernardino National Forest and is managed accordingly, and the exchange is exempt from the general land exchange requirements of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (43 U.S.C. 1716).
