H.R. 4008 — Pay Our Correctional Officers Fairly Act

This section deems the official worksite of a Bureau of Prisons employee otherwise in the Rest of U.S. locality pay area to be located in the nearest other locality pay area (or, if multiple are within 200 miles, the one with the highest comparability payment) for pay purposes, provided the worksite is within 200 miles of at least one such area. The provision applies to prevailing rate employees (i.e., wage-grade federal workers) and takes effect for pay periods beginning 180 days after enactment.
