H.R. 4041 — To exempt certain forest management activities in Yosemite National Park from requirements of section 102 of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, and for other purposes.

This section establishes a categorical exclusion from preparation of an environmental assessment or environmental impact statement under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for specified forest management activities in Yosemite National Park. The excluded activities are (1) the planning, approval, and execution of fuels removal activities, including brush removal, and (2) the planning, approval, and execution of reforestation activities. (Thus, the National Park Service may conduct these activities without NEPA analysis.)
