H.R. 406 — PROTECT Jewish Student and Faculty Act

This section requires institutions of higher education participating in federal student aid programs under the Higher Education Act of 1965 to include in all documents and other resources relating to student or employee conduct on campus (1) a definition of antisemitism stating that it is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews, with rhetorical and physical manifestations directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and their property or Jewish community institutions and religious facilities; and (2) a statement prohibiting antisemitic conduct on campus, with potential expulsion for students and termination for employees. (Thus, this conditions institutional eligibility for Title IV funds on compliance.)
