H.R. 4118 — Stop the Subsidized Green Energy Scam Act

This section terminates eligibility for the energy investment tax credit (Section 48), clean electricity production tax credit (Section 45Y), and clean electricity investment tax credit (Section 48E) for wind, solar energy, and battery energy storage facilities the construction of which begins after the date of enactment. The amendments apply to such property and direct the Secretary of the Treasury, after consultation with the Secretary of Energy, to issue necessary regulations or guidance. (Thus, these credits—available to taxpayers for investments in or production from eligible clean energy facilities—end for new construction of the specified technologies.)
