§2. RCPP purposes
This section revises one of the purposes of the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP)—which coordinates USDA conservation assistance through partnerships to producers and eligible partners (e.g., nonprofits, states) for regional- or watershed-scale projects on agricultural and forest land—by specifying that it address natural resource concerns including (A) conservation, protection, restoration, and sustainable use of soil; (B) conservation and protection of water, including sources of drinking water and groundwater; (C) prevention and mitigation of flooding and drought effects and improvement or expansion of flood resiliency; and (D) conservation of wildlife, agricultural land, and related natural resources (replacing the prior general purpose of furthering the conservation, protection, restoration, and sustainable use of soil, water including drinking water and groundwater sources, wildlife, agricultural land, and related natural resources).
