H.R. 4254 — Iranian Campaign Medal Act

This section establishes the Iranian Campaign Medal, authorizing the Secretary concerned to issue it to members of the Armed Forces who (1) served on active duty in support of designated operations during the Iran-Israel War (including Operation Midnight Hammer, conducted on June 22, 2025); (2) were deployed in an area of operations designated as eligible; or (3) performed other service as prescribed by the Secretary concerned. The section limits issuance to one medal per person, permits issuance to next-of-kin if the eligible person is deceased, requires an appropriate design approved by the Secretary of Defense, and directs the Secretaries concerned to prescribe uniform regulations.
