H.R. 4296 — CROP for Farming Act

This section revises conservation incentive contracts under the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP)—which provides technical and financial assistance to agricultural and forest producers for conservation practices—by (1) expanding eligible resource concerns to include greenhouse gas emissions (i.e., nitrous oxide or methane) or carbon storage (i.e., in plants or soil), and (2) authorizing payments for practices achieving conservation benefits, reductions in such emissions, or increased carbon storage levels.
