This section revises accountability and oversight requirements for state grants to address opioid use disorders (i.e., State Opioid Response grants under section 1003 of the 21st Century Cures Act, 42 U.S.C. 290ee–3a). Specifically, it (1) replaces subsection (c) to require the Secretary of Health and Human Services to develop a standardized data collection system, with grantee states submitting quarterly data on grant expenditures and activities, subrecipients (including name, location, and taxpayer identification number), individuals served, and other information as appropriate, while directing use of existing federal grant-tracking systems to avoid duplication; and (2) amends the Secretary's report to Congress under subsection (f) to include activities of recipients and subrecipients and a list of all grant recipients and subrecipients with their funding levels. The amendments apply beginning 180 days after enactment.
