H.R. 4535 — MAGA Act

This section directs the Secretary of Defense to conduct a study on the prevalence of small arms and light weapons (as defined in 32 CFR 273.3), and parts for such weapons, used by members of the Armed Forces that were manufactured outside the United States or in the United States by a subsidiary of a foreign-owned entity. Not later than 180 days after the date of enactment, the Secretary must submit to Congress and the President a report on the study that includes recommendations for procuring small arms and light weapons wholly manufactured in the United States by entities owned and controlled by individuals located in the United States.
