“To make publicly available information on sustainable aviation fuel production and imports, and for other purposes.”
No CRS summary available for this bill.
This section requires the Secretary of Energy, acting through the Administrator of the Energy Information Administration (EIA), to include sustainable aviation fuel data in the EIA's *Petroleum Supply Monthly* report, *Weekly Petroleum Status Report*, and other relevant EIA reports, as determined by the Administrator. The required data covers (1) the type, origin, and volume of feedstock used in sustainable aviation fuel production in each state or Petroleum Administration for Defense District, in the United States, and—to the maximum extent practicable—in each foreign country; and (2) the total amount of sustainable aviation fuel produced in each state and the United States and imported from each foreign country and all foreign countries. Data must be obtained using an accounting methodology consistent with reliable statistical sampling techniques and that ensures no double counting of feedstock or fuel. (Nothing in this section affects the EIA Administrator's independence under section 205 of the Department of Energy Organization Act (42 U.S.C. 7135) in collecting or analyzing information.)
