H.R. 4929 — Enduring Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act

This section makes permanent the $5,000 special assessment under 18 U.S.C. §3014(a) on non-indigent persons or entities convicted of specified human trafficking offenses (previously applicable from enactment of the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act of 2015 through September 30, 2025). (Thus, after FY2025, courts must continue imposing the assessment in addition to the standard assessment under 18 U.S.C. §3013, with proceeds supporting services for trafficking victims.)
