H.R. 4931 — National Park System Long-Term Lease Investment Act

This section authorizes the Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Director of the National Park Service, to extend leases entered into under 36 C.F.R. pt. 18 (as in effect on January 3, 2025) without complying with §§18.7 or 18.8 if the lessee entered the lease at least five years prior to the extension's effective date, remains in compliance with lease terms, and the Director determines the extension is in the best interests of the applicable National Park System unit. The section also directs the Secretary to revise 36 C.F.R. pt. 18 within 90 days of enactment to reflect this authority.
