H.R. 4939 — SNAP Study Act of 2025

This section requires the Secretary of Agriculture to submit to the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry and the House Committee on Agriculture a report on food security and diet quality in the United States, with the first report due not later than one year after the effective date of this section and annually thereafter. The report must include (1) an analysis of food security and diet quality among participants and nonparticipants in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP); (2) a summary of legislative and executive branch changes to SNAP during the covered year intended to improve food security and diet quality, along with an analysis of their impact and effectiveness; and (3) recommendations to Congress for improving food security and diet quality for SNAP participants and nonparticipants.
