H.R. 4984 — No Appointments by Rogue Judges Act

This section amends the interim appointment process for United States attorneys by (1) revising the maximum term of an Attorney General appointee to the time limitations in 28 U.S.C. 3346 (from 120 days)—generally 210 days from the date of vacancy unless extended due to a pending nomination—and (2) striking the authority of the district court to appoint an interim United States attorney upon expiration of the Attorney General's appointment.
