H.R. 5060 — UAP Whistleblower Protection Act

This section expands whistleblower protections to prohibit reprisals for lawful disclosures regarding the use of Federal taxpayer funds to evaluate or research unidentified anomalous phenomenon material. The section makes this addition to protections applicable to (1) federal civilian employees under 5 U.S.C. §2302(b)(8); (2) FBI employees under 5 U.S.C. §2303(a)(2); (3) members of the Armed Forces under 10 U.S.C. §1034(c)(2); (4) Department of Defense contractors under 10 U.S.C. §4701(a)(1); (5) federal civilian contractors under 41 U.S.C. §4712(a)(1); and (6) intelligence community personnel and contractors under 50 U.S.C. §3234.
