H.R. 5171 — Pacific Northwest Gray Wolves Relief Act of 2025

This section directs the Secretary of the Interior, not later than 60 days after enactment, to reissue the November 3, 2020, final rule titled "Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Removing the Gray Wolf (Canis lupus) From the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife" (85 Fed. Reg. 69778), which delists gray wolves from protections under the Endangered Species Act. The reissued rule applies only to gray wolf populations in Oregon and Washington. (Thus, gray wolves in those states would no longer be federally listed as endangered or threatened.)
