H.R. 5175 — Quad Space Act

This section expresses the sense of Congress that the United States should strengthen and expand space cooperation with Australia, India, and Japan through the Quad (i.e., the partnership among those four countries). It directs the Secretary of Defense, not later than 180 days after enactment, to initiate Quad discussions identifying areas of mutual interest—including best practices in space, space situational awareness, and space industrial policy—and, not later than 270 days after enactment, to submit to the Armed Services Committees of the Senate and House a report describing such areas and potential steps to formalize cooperation.
