H.R. 5237 — Campaign Transparency Act

This section eliminates the $200 aggregate threshold for reporting contributor identification information (i.e., name, mailing address, occupation, and principal place of business) in itemized schedules of political committee reports filed with the FEC on or after the date of enactment. (Previously, under FECA sec. 304(b)(3), such itemization was required only for contributions exceeding $200 in the calendar year, or election cycle for authorized candidate committees; thus, all contributions must now be itemized regardless of amount.)
