H.R. 5335 — PERU Act of 2025

This section designates Peru as a qualifying foreign state for E-1 treaty trader and E-2 treaty investor nonimmigrant visas under INA sec. 101(a)(15)(E)(i) and (ii) if the government of Peru provides similar status to U.S. nationals. (As background, E-1 visas allow qualifying foreign nationals to direct and develop substantial trade between the U.S. and their home country, while E-2 visas allow them to direct and develop an enterprise in which they have invested a substantial amount of capital.)
