H.R. 5344 — Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Rewards Program Act

This section redesignates the Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Rewards Pilot Program—under which the Department of State may pay rewards of up to $5 million to individuals for information leading to the recovery of assets obtained through kleptocracy by foreign government officials—as the Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Rewards Program; (2) strikes the three-year authorization limitation; and (3) establishes a sunset date at the end of the seven-year period beginning on the date of enactment (replacing prior sunset provision).
