H.R. 5364 — STOP FRAUD in Medicaid Act

This section expands the scope of Medicaid fraud that state Medicaid Fraud Control Units (MFCUs) must investigate and prosecute under SSA section 1903(q)(3) to include fraud by individuals in the application for or receipt of medical assistance services (in addition to fraud by providers in the provision of such services). It makes a conforming change to state plan requirements under SSA section 1902(a)(61), with the amendments to MFCU authority applying beginning 180 days after enactment.
