H.R. 5384 — MORE Act

This section establishes a preference, in awarding grants under the Health Profession Opportunity Grant program (i.e., grants to eligible entities for demonstration projects providing low-income individuals, including TANF recipients, with education, training, supportive services, and career advancement in high-demand health care occupations), for applicants demonstrating business and community partners in each of the following categories: (1) state and local government agencies and social service providers, including TANF program administrators; (2) institutions of higher education, apprenticeship programs, and local workforce development boards under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act; and (3) health care employers, health care industry or sector partnerships, labor unions, and labor-management partnerships.
