H.R. 5478 — Fruit Heights Land Conveyance Act of 2025

This section defines key terms for purposes of the Act: (1) "City" as the city of Fruit Heights, Utah; (2) "Map" as the map entitled "Fruit Heights City US Forest Service Land Conveyance" and dated March 2024; and (3) "Secretary" as the Secretary of Agriculture, acting through the Chief of the Forest Service.

This section directs the Secretary of Agriculture to convey, not later than 30 days after enactment, all U.S. right, title, and interest in approximately 295.89 acres of National Forest System land in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest (as depicted on a specified map) to the city of Fruit Heights, Utah, without consideration and by quitclaim deed. The conveyance is subject to valid existing rights, a reservation of an easement for the Bonneville Shoreline Trail, and other terms the Secretary deems appropriate to protect U.S. interests; the exact acreage and legal description may be determined by a survey paid for by the city; and the city must use the land only for public purposes, with reversion to the Secretary if used otherwise.
