H.R. 5752 — Upper Price River Watershed Project Act of 2025

This section establishes definitions for terms used in the Act, including “City” (i.e., the city of Price, Utah), “Federal land” (i.e., approximately 124.23 acres of Bureau of Land Management land in Utah depicted as “Proposed Conveyance Parcels” on the Map), “Map” (i.e., the map entitled “Land Conveyance near Price, Utah” and dated May 8, 2025), and “Secretary” (i.e., the Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Director of the Bureau of Land Management).

This section directs the Secretary of the Interior to convey, at the request of the city of Price, Utah, and notwithstanding land use planning requirements under section 202 of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (FLPMA) (43 U.S.C. 1712), all right, title, and interest in specified Bureau of Land Management land (as depicted on a map on file and available for public inspection in appropriate BLM offices, with authority to correct minor errors) for public purposes as defined by the city, subject to valid existing rights. (Thus, the conveyance bypasses FLPMA's requirements to develop or revise land use plans prior to disposal.)
