H.R. 5758 — Enhancing Faith-Based Support for Veterans Act of 2025

This section authorizes Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) chaplains to transmit, at a patient's election, the patient's contact information to a specified non-VA religious or faith-based organization if the chaplain has conducted a spiritual assessment of the patient. A spiritual assessment is an evaluation by a VA chaplain of a patient eligible for medical treatment under chapter 17 of title 38, U.S. Code, to gather the patient's spiritual information and inform the patient's medical treatment plan, if applicable.
