H.R. 5842 — No Presidential Payouts Act

This section prohibits (1) obligating or expending amounts from the Judgment Fund (i.e., permanent indefinite appropriation to pay certain final judgments, awards, compromise settlements, and related interest and costs against the federal government when not otherwise provided) to cover costs incurred by the President of the United States, any relative of the President, or any entity associated with the President or relative in any criminal or civil matter to which such person or entity is a party; and (2) using any federal funds to compensate such persons or entities for those costs.
