H.R. 5871 — We Want Our Healthcare Money Back Act of 2025

This section requires the Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services to submit a report on Medicare and Medicaid fraud not later than 3 months after enactment and every 3 months thereafter until 2 years after enactment to the House Committees on Ways and Means and Energy and Commerce and the Senate Committees on Finance and Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions. For the 3-month period ending 1 month before each report's due date, the report must include (1) the number of fraud investigations conducted by the Inspector General, (2) the number of resulting criminal prosecutions and civil actions with the dollar amount of alleged fraud and charges in each, and (3) the number of individuals and entities excluded from federal health care programs due to fraud-related criminal convictions or acts. No additional funds are authorized for this requirement.
