H.R. 5910 — To authorize leases of up to 99 years for land held in trust for federally recognized Indian Tribes.

This section expands the exceptions to the 25-year limit on leases of restricted Indian lands (i.e., tribally- or individually-owned lands that cannot be alienated without federal approval) to include land held in trust for any federally recognized Indian tribe listed by the Secretary of the Interior pursuant to the Federally Recognized Indian Tribe List Act of 1994 (25 U.S.C. 5131). (Thus, such tribes may now enter into leases exceeding 25 years for public, religious, educational, recreational, residential, business, grazing, or specialized farming purposes, subject to Secretarial approval.)
