H.R. 6002 — Veterans Earned Education Act

This section expands eligibility to transfer unused Post-9/11 GI Bill educational assistance (i.e., chapter 33 of title 38, U.S. Code) to spouses and children to any individual who (1) has completed at least six years of service in the Armed Forces, (2) has completed at least 17 years of service in the Armed Forces, (3) is retired from the Armed Forces under chapter 61 of title 10 (i.e., medically retired), or (4) has completed at least 10 years of service in the Armed Forces (previously limited to members of the uniformed services meeting the six- or 10-year service requirements).
