H.R. 6016 — Keep Healthcare Affordable Act

This section extends and modifies the enhanced premium tax credit (PTC) under IRC §36B—available to eligible individuals and families to subsidize health insurance premiums purchased through Affordable Care Act (ACA) Exchanges—as follows, for taxable years beginning after December 31, 2025: (1) extends rules providing increased premium assistance amounts (via reduced applicable percentages) through 2029 (from 2025); and (2) extends PTC availability to taxpayers with household income above 400% of the federal poverty level (FPL), applying an explicit upper limit of 1000% FPL after 2025 (previously effectively uncapped through 2025).
