H.R. 6063 — Designating the Guam and Western Pacific USDA Rural Development Office Act

This section directs the Secretary of Agriculture and the Undersecretary for Rural Development, within 90 days after enactment, to designate the Guam and Western Pacific USDA Rural Development office as the representative of USDA Rural Development in Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Palau, and the Federated States of Micronesia and to delegate to that office the same rights and responsibilities as are delegated to USDA Rural Development offices for any state. (Thus, the office will administer USDA rural development programs—such as loans and grants for rural housing, utilities, and businesses—with full state-level authority in those jurisdictions.)
